Arena fee when taking lesson/riding in clinic at DHF with outside trainer:  $10/month –
only due if you ride with outside trainers here during that month and covers the whole month,
no matter how many times you ride with someone else

There is no arena fee for Karen's regular students to come ride/school
in arena or field, otherwise, $10 monthly fee applies

Coaching

Coaching at competitions, xc schools, etc.:  Priced based on Karen's expenses/distance travelled/whether she's competing, number of students she's coaching, how much time she
can spend coaching you, etc.  Karen's students receive a $2 credit towards this coaching
for each lesson taken with her.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first group lesson with Karen.  Her teaching style is logical and unhurried, mindful of building upon basics as a means to an end rather than forcing an issue.  Her explanations and analogies really connected the dots for me.  My horse and I were relaxed, and we just had a wonderful time with her encouraging method of instruction.  Thank you!

Clinic with Mrs. Karen

The clinic with Mrs. Karen helped me a lot with my dressage. I learned how to get Dillon round and forward, and I also got to hear some techniques for the other horses and riders there. These I’ll remember if I need to use them on a future horse. After the clinic I went home and Dillon was a different horse. I got on him and he went straight on the bit. Thanks Mrs. Karen!!!

The Introduction to Eventing Clinic at Dancing Horse Farm on October 4th and 5th 2008 was fabulous.  I know little or nothing about eventing but I feel like I have learned a lot about what will be expected if I am ever good enough to compete.  Karen is very, very patient and never makes you feel like an idiot (even if you are). I would highly recommend it to anyone considering the sport or just to have fun.  It was challenging but never overwhelming.

I thoroughly enjoyed the eventing clinic.  It was very informative on the basics of eventing and alot of fun too!  Although I have been riding cross country for several years, I knew nothing about the total sport of eventing, especially dressage.  Under Karen’s instruction, I was able to learn for the first time about dressage, and how talented a mount and rider must be to be successful in eventing.  She teaches in a way in which each rider can understand.  She takes complex issues, and breaks them down to the fundamentals.  Karen helped motivate the students to push themselves beyond their comfort zone.  She is an instructor that provides honest feedback, as well as solutions of how to improve your riding to the next level. Thanks again.
